Greg at the Toyota factory. His dad and he went to see how their Lexuses are made.
A taste of the architecture: hand carved, hand painted. This is Nikko. This was my favorite part of the trip: this shrine enclosed in rainforest.
Gate separating the outside world from the spiritual world.
A bit of the ceiling carvings.
Glade's souveneir from Japan. A little baby kimono! All in all we had a great time! It was absolutely exhausting but was filled with interesting things.Expected pleasures: architecture, teahouses, sumo, & photo-ops.
Unexpected treats: I was the only one running the downtown Tokyo streets (seriously), helping or scaring a lost boy in this little oasis of a park, seeing Greg's mission, hakata dolls, & the airplane ride (12 hrs, nearly unbearable) because we had personal tvs!
Things I could do without: leggings on everyone, everywhere in Japan! Long travel times, food especially curry, & being without my Glade.
