My photo
Greg and London have been married for 6 years. We have a 4 yr old son, Glade & an 11 month old baby, Nicolette. We live in Utah and love experiencing both warm summers and the snow! Greg is a business litigation attorney and London is a registered nurse, but mostly a stay-at-home mom.

Recents

This post will update you on what we have been doing recently.
London: still cooking away, featured picture is of ham & chicken tetrazinni with a little bit of sherry in it. It was Greg's favorite this week.
I also made rolo cookies for work on Friday. It was my last day--Glade enjoyed the dough and the cookies were devoured at work. It is bittersweet not to work anymore. My sweet boss is keeping me on the schedule for 6 more months just in case "I change my mind." Love my work! I just might need a change of scene in a few months when Greg is less busy at work and I can sneak in for a day or two.

My piano! Courtesy of Ryan & Jen, friends from the firm. I am thrilled. Even though it needs a tune, I have been playing it non-stop since its delivery yesterday. :) Glade will love having music in the home.

Glade: Has enjoyed social hour at the gym, he heads to the daycare and I work out every day. Library, playdate with friends and cousins-like Luke, pictured above. We are still attempting the pottytraining...He is currently sick AGAIN with high fevers. Arg!

Greg with some of our friends from church at an activity. They wore matching jackets. :) We headed with the VanOrmans to a movie this week. It was a much needed evening out. Saw Green Hornet-laughed/coughed my head off.
All 3 of us have been involved in the remodel of our backyard. It is involuntary as our basement flooded-again. Glade loves watching the tractor, I love dreaming of how much better it will look, and Greg loves that the comprehensive drainage system should keep water out for good!

Duck Duck Goose

Duck! On our way to Beus pond with Grandma Taylor to see the ducks. Little did we know they would leave the pond to meet us in the parking lot! They CHARGED!!
Duck! After they charged us for the bread we had (*thank heavens for the saying "don't bite the hand that feeds you") we made it to the bridge. That way we had a few feet between us. These ducks were starved!

Duck! Glade's inventive way to feed the ducks--put it in his mouth first, then spit it out to the ducks. That way he still got to taste it.

Goose! The geese were as tall as Glade! 3 feet!!
We had a fun & warm afternoon getting out of the house and doing something a little different this week. We needed a welcome break after our basement flooded--again. This time the repairs will be in the backyard. We'll keep you posted!

All about food!

The past couple of weeks have been full of food & friends. We have hosted many playdates, pottytrained, & practiced cooking! This picture is of Glade (he does have a pull-up on) searching for his potty prize, see picture below...
A GIANT jumbo marshmellow. It is almost as big as his cup! We watched the Lord of the Rings Trilogy over the holidays (I know, we are behind the times) and so Glade's naked picture and his prize reminded us of Smeagle looking for the "precious."

Ham and pea fettucine (sp?). Home-made cream sauce.

French Dip sandwiches. Also on the menu was: chicken hot dish hashbrown casserole (long name, really easy), green chili enchiladas, sweet & sour meatballs, sweet pork, and oriental noodle stir fry. I've kept that resolution, but sadly had a diet coke yesterday. I couldn't resist. That's my "PRECIOUS." So, carbonation is back in full-swing.
Speaking of food, we are off to Maddox today, doing church snow removal, & sledding. DAD is actually home on a Saturday. I had to assure Glade today that Greg was indeed home, not at work. He was excited! Off to enjoy the day...

Happy New Years!

Glade kickin' off the New Year with a fancy haircut from aunt Jen. Look how long it was. It curls up alot shorter-but looks cute!
Took Glade to the Treehouse yesterday. We are establising more of a steady routine this year. Library Mondays, and at least one other fieldtrip during the week. Glade loves to explore, as pictured-make music, & play with friends.

Glade enjoying a ferari car set from our friends, the Georges. He loves anything that moves! His favorite toy for Christmas was a motorized Thomas train. Mine was my iphone which makes it easy to upload photos. :)

Greg and me with our friends, The Griffins. We enjoyed a Jazz game on Jan. 1!

As for resolutions, I have decided on 3 things and believe it or not, they have nothing to do with exercise! I'm already at the gym every morning for 2 hours. They are:
1. Cook 4-5 times/week. This was one meal I made called Tettrazinni. I have also made sweet pork, chicken enchiladas, and meatballs this week. Most were new recipes. It sure is a commitment to cook, so I commend all of you that do it. I am a NEWBIE at it. It takes 45-1hr to prepare. But, Greg is grateful, & Glade enjoys most things. :)
2. Read the New Testament-every morning I've been reading it alongside a book to help organize it by theme. I've noticed I've been a little more patient with Glade during the day as a result. I'll keep at it!
3. Not drink carbonation. This is my toughest one!!! I love diet coke-especially with a lime. Darn it, I'm thirsty writing this! But, it hurts my stomach, literally, and dehydrates me, & I'll probably train (running) better without it.
Greg's resolution is to "become more organized." When asked further what that entailed, he listed out a few things like coming home from work early, getting to the gym, studying scriptures, etc. Leave it to an attorney to list a resolution completely VAGUE and IN THE GRAY.
When Glade was asked was his new year's resolution was he said "yogurt." So, I'm picking one for him. FULLY POTTYTRAINED and onto preschool. A fun year ahead. We all wish you a Happy New Year and a good luck on those resolutions!
