Book Club

I like to read. I like to recommend books to others to read. At work, in the grocery store, to my friends, neighbors, etc. It is a nice way to start a conversation. I like reading because it expands my vocabulary, lets me live in a fantasy world, and have a good laugh or cry. So...with all that in mind, I have decided to share a book I've recently read: Twenties Girl by Sophie Kinsella. Its main character is cringe-worthy. I'd laugh and squeal in embarrassment for her. Because Halloween was not to long ago, I'd read it...because it is a ghost story. And a romance. Those are always my favorite. If you like to laugh and relate to someone's most embarrasing moments that are daring & romantic...read it. I just might recommend another book soon...but for now, I'm busy reading!

Glade's 1st Birthday

Happy Birthday to Glade! This time last year, I was still pregnant with my sweet boy! What a year we have had. I wouldn't change one second of it. These pics were taken by Tanya, a former neighbor getting into photography. Glade is in his chick costume, so I don't have to take any pics on Halloween, I can just enjoy. Motherhood is the best thing in the whole world! :)

Cousin pictures

Brittany surprised me with these pictures taken of her two boys: Kyle & Luke, with Glade. The cousins always have so much fun together. In fact, the first thing the boys ask when they see me is "where's Gladers?" It is really cute! These cousins love to play with eachother. For instance, this summer they have all been swimming in Bear Lake twice, Lava Hot Springs, and today played at the treehouse.

These pictures are to couple the previous post about our fun summer. Glade is truly a water baby! He loves swimming and has four swimming suits...that is my fault. :) Mom loves to cuddle Glade but he is up and moving so fast! In fact, his first word was "Up"!

LAKE POWELL! This past week, all 3 of us went to Page, Arizona and had a blast! We went with Greg's sister's family. Glade loved the boat rides, but would always fall asleep after 10 min in the boat. He hated his life jacket, but surprisingly, left his bandana on his head. He got super tan and loved the water. He did eat sand, just once...

Greg enjoyed sipping ice-cold Diet Dew and floating on his raft. He also cliff jumped, wakeboarded (and got up his first time!), and rode the jet-ski. London enjoyed relaxing in the sun, the water weenie with all the kids, and boat rides.

Fun Summer

It has been SO long since the last post! We have been swimming like crazy! Glade loves the water. He splashes and kicks like CRAZY! We are headed to Lake Powell this weekend and are looking forward to that.

My poor sick baby!

Glade has been super sick! Our family has endured one week of vomiting, diarrhea, fevers, and fussiness from Glade. It has been awful! My poor baby...we have been to the ER, many MDs, and have concluded that Glade has roto virus, but a bad case. He is still smiling, but mom is crying, and dad is pulling out his hair, oh wait...he doesn't have any. Hopefully he gets better soon so we can get back to playing!

Walking!

At 8 1/2 months, Glade has decided that he is going to skip crawling and walk! It happened just after he saw his 1 year old cousin, Korver, zipping around the house. He pushes his lawn mower toy and takes off! He will keep walking until he runs into the wall, and will squawk until he is turned around. It is adorable!! Isn't he growing up too fast though? Greg and I are glad that we didn't miss his walking because we were traveling in Aruba for my birthday. Between working, yard work, and chasing Glade around--we are to have a fun summer!

Mother's Day Photo Shoot

Can you see his two bottom teeth? He also has three up top! He is 7 1/2 months now and is so much fun! He loves to sit up, stand up, swim, and laugh. His giggle is so adorable! Everywhere we go, people comment on his big brown eyes.

Glade is a model!

Our neighbor, Veronica, asked if she could photograph Glade. So these are a few snapshots she took. Glade is now 7months old, sitting up but not crawling yet. He has four little teeth and is always smiling and playing with toys! Greg is as busy as ever with work, and I have left McKay and am working twice a month at a surgical center to keep my RN license. Otherwise, I am home with Glade and we have a blast!

Glade is 4 months old!

This was my favorite picture that Glade got taken today to celebrate turning 4 months old (he will be in 2 days)! Glade actually has a really big grin which shows off his dimple, but I guess he just saves that for mom. Pictures are a great way to update a blog because we have not had anything else exciting going on. Over the holidays, I went back to work...which I work at the hospital about once a week. I am also training to run the Ogden Marathon this summer. Greg is swamped at work with a big case in which he is defending the LDS church. He and I are also trying some new cooking--which is fun! Glade is talking and giggling...which is the most adorable thing. I believe this age is my favorite! But, I know I will say that about every age.
